Alexander Gromeier is a German composer for films, media and theater, who studied composition at the Dutch conservatory ArtEZ in Arnhem (2010-2014). Besides his main subjects of composition and music-production he plays different kinds of instruments, including piano, guitar, drums and his custom built bow guitar. In addition he gained a lot of experiences supporting other composers as technical assistant, music editor, midi-mockup pro and co-writer. To share his approaches about music-theory, audio and the technique behind he works as a teacher and tutor.

Recently he is known for his involvement in projects like the cine movieRabbit School (2017), the tv series Raven - The little Rascal (2016-2017), the German feature film "In Winter, so beautiful (2016) or the short-movieThe Draftsman (2015).

Before his time at the ArtEZ conservatory he graduated with the Basic Filmmusic Composer Diploma at the musicube academy (Bonn) as the schools best student in 2010. In 2009 he achieved his Bachelor of Arts degree in Popular Music and Media at the Paderborn University in 2009.

In his youth he played in a lot of Rock bands as lead guitarist and eventually founded his own one called “Broken Marble”. As leader and songwriter he and his members gained a big success within the German national competition local heroes 2004, where they achieved the public choice award and the third place out of about 900 bands. In 2010 Broken Marble released it's longplayer Stabbing My Heart(2010 / Yonah Records), where he already expanded into orchestral and electronic music.

Alexander Gromeier qualifies himself as a film music composer through essential tools such as playing different instruments and a broad knowledge in music theory, orchestration, arranging, midi productions, song writing, conducting or audio and motion theory.
